Slow day...

Today was such an awesome day! But it started off with a little scare. I woke up in the middle of the night and realized that I didn't have the monitor plugged in. I jumped up and plugged it in and thankfully little man was fast asleep. I have no idea what time that happened, because I quickly passed right back out. Little man got up a little after 8 and then my Daddy came over. We just spent the morning playing and spending time snuggling. I missed him so much yesterday. I had to get all of the cupcakes in the oven before my Daddy left to go to work because I didn't want to take time away from little man to do that. So, I got them made and baked up and let them cool during naptime. Once little man went down for his nap I made me some lunch and it was horrible. I did a horrible job on my burger and decided to put a huge slice of onion on it and realized that it was to much when it was almost gone. I have a horrible taste in my mouth the rest of the day and it made me feel all icky. Then I played a few rounds of COD and watched my soaps.

Once little man got up I got to work on the frosting for the cupcakes. Once all of that was done it was playtime for me and little man. Mark got home from work and then Opal showed up to visit for a little while. We just spent the rest of the day playing and relaxing.

Dollywood!

I went to Dollywood today with my Mommy and we had a blast! On the way there I kept taking pictures of places that Bruce and I went to for our one year wedding anniversary. We spent the weekend up there and it was such an awesome weekend. As soon as we got there we went to see Smokey Mountain Christmas! It was so nice! But the way Mom talked about it I was expecting Jesus to actually show up or something. But it was a pretty show.

After that we walked around and then seen another show and relaxed with some hot cocoa. We had to go see Babes in Toyland in honor of little Bruce. I missed him so much! I hate being away from him for that long. But anyways, after that we watched the Carol of the Trees and it was hilarious! Mom and I were dancing to the music in front of all these people and acting a fool. We were acting like Tweedle Dee and Tweedle Dum.

Our day consisted of these key phrases: "my face was on your vagina", "pooped in the church parking lot" and "grandma got ran over by a tram car". Long story, don't ask.

I also made sure to take a lot of pictures of me in Dollywood because Bruce has been complaining that he never gets pictures of me, but I just never think to take any of me. For me it's all about little Bruce.

Well, I'm tired and going to bed!

Trees, elephants and new stuff...

I guess it is time for another update.

Little man is doing so much new stuff since we got here a little over a month ago. He is saying all new stuff and the other day he actually was play pretending with hid Daddy and Uncle Rickys Batman action figures. It was adorable. I almost cried. He is trying all new stuff too. It's been amazing. The only thing that could make this all better is if his Daddy was here with us. I think he is getting some new teeth too. It's hard to tell though because he will never let me look in there. He is so stubborn! I've also been doing his hair too. We've given him a faux hawk, combed it over and spiked it. He looks so adorable!

We also put up our Chrismas stuff! Since we are here in Tennessee instead of home we had to get a new little tree to put up just for us. We usually have a green one, so since we are here I thought I would do something different. I got a white one! We have tons of pretty ornaments and little man has Toy Story ones and a Toy Story socking. He is in love with Christmas! He just keeps saying "tree" and staring at the trees. It's so cute! He loves the little musical toys and stuff that Lisa has. He keeps pressing the buttons and dancing with them. Chrismas has always been my favorite holiday, but having a child at Christmas makes it so much better than I could have ever imagined! I can't to do all of our holiday stuff with him, decorate cookies, see the lights, watch all the classics and the new Christmas movies. I'm so excited!

Bruce has been able to call us almost everyday since he left and it's been amazing. Little Bruce knows his ringtone and everytime it goes off he starts yelling "Dada"! He has been doing the coolest things on deployment. He went to Pearl Harbor, Saipan and he also got to go on a zip line and a elephant tour while in Thailand! I love that he is getting the chance to see parts of the world that most people don't get to see.

Well, I'm off to bed. I am going to Dollywood with my Mom tomorrow to see the Christmas shows.

Blah, blah, blah

The days here in Tennessee have been blurring together. It seems lke I've been here forever, but at the same time I still have so much longer to go. Little Bruce has been saying Dada constantly and it's killing me. I know that he misses him so much and doesn't understand why Daddy isn't here. But family has been awesome. He has taken to everyone so well and it's been such a blessing. We have already sent out our first care package and I've already started on the second one. Bruce sent home a video of him reading a bedtime story for little man and it was so awesome to see him. I miss him so much. I am so tired all the time though. I feel like I am constantly visiting someone or doing something and having to deal with all of that plus missing Bruce is starting to get to me.

Anyways, on a more positive note, I've lost lbs since we've been here in Tennessee! I am so excited! Only 33 more to go! I have been going to the gym four days a week and working my butt off. Plus I am getting my tan back! Yay! I am so tired of being a ghost!

My new goal is to put a little money aside so I can get myself a pretty ring. I have one in mind at Zales.

I have also become addicted to COD. But I limit my playing time to only when little man is in bed. It's so much fun!

Well, I'm tired! Night!

Daddy Daughter Day

This morning started off great. My little guy came and woke me up with a smile and then it was breakfast time. After breakfast we all got ready to go out for the day. Little man went with my Mom to my Mamaw's  and I went out with my Daddy. We headed to Kingsport to go to Texas Roadhouse and oh my gosh! I have really missed that place. This was my birthday dinner and I got a steak and a margarita! AWESOME! After lunch we headed to Hobby Lobby to get some stuff for Bruce's care package and then went to Verizon to pay our cell phone bill.

We headed on back to Rogersville and then Mom left to go to see Larry the Cable Guy with my Aunt Judy for her birthday/Christmas. Dad and I waited for little man to wake up and we went off to Wal-Mart to kill some time and let little man run around. We had so much fun in there! After that it was back to the house and we spent the rest of the day just sitting around doing nothing. But I'm going to enjoy this down time and relax! Night!

Life in Tennessee...

It's been brought to my attention that I have been neglecting my blog since I got to Tennessee (Alyssa! lol) But she is right. I've just been so busy. Anyways, it's been two weeks since I said goodbye to Bruce and it hasn't gotten any easier. But the hardest part is when little Bruce talks about "dada". Bruce has always been the one to put him to bed at night and everytime I ask him if he is ready to go night night, he looks up and says "dada". It just breaks my heart.

But he is doing so good adjusting to our new temporary life here in Tennessee. He has bonded with everyone here and it's made it so nice. We just got adjusted to our routine and now the stupid time is going to change! Who else hates that?! Anyways, Bruce is doing all kinds of new stuff. He is saying juice, tea and nana (banana). He shakes his head yes and no. He runs from diaper changes and when I need to wipe his nose. He knows how to use a napkin now. He is just doing so good.

Me on the other hand is still adjusting. I am not used to sharing my time with little man so much. But it's been so good for me to have the down time. I've enjoyed it so much. And it's good for little man to spend time without me with other people. I went to see Paranormal Activity 2 last night with my Daddy and father in law. And oh my gosh, the whole baby situation really had me freaked. I just wanted to go home and grab little man and hold him and not let go. But he was asleep when we got home. The movie was good, but that baby thing was to much for me I think. I am going out to lunch at Texas Roadhouse tomorrow with my Dad and to get things for Bruce's first care package. I'm so excited to send him one. I got some stuff tonight for it!

One thing that I am doing here to keep busy is work out! Oh my gosh! Before the whole fire situation I was doing so good with my diet and exercise routine. I had lost 2 lbs in a week and then the fire happened and it all went downhill from there. But I'm back on schedule now and it's been awesome. I workout on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays. I can only eat out on the weekend. I have to drink 69 ounces of water a day and I'm taking some green tea supplements. I feel really good. I am hoping to lose at least 30 - 40 lbs before Bruce comes home next Spring. I'm also trying to get my tan back. I used to tan alot before I got pregnant, but I haven't had the chance to get back to it since having him. But now that I have so many free babysitters here I have the time to workout and tan. It's been amazing and it's such a good distraction from the deployment.

Well, that's about it for tonight. I am super tired.
