Bowl Day!

Today was such a great day! When little man and I were up and ready we went down to my Dad's to celebrate our late Christmas. Little Bruce got such awesome stuff and I finally got my present that I had been waiting for since I got here. The entire Tudors series! LOVE! After we opened everything and played for a little while we went to Wal-Mart and then to lunch. Little man got cheese all over him! It was hilarious! Once little man went down for a nap then Dad and I watched a few special features on the DVDs and then turned it to football. We basically spent the rest of the day playing and watching the bowl games. It was such a nice and relaxing day. And to give today a perfect ending I watched the Tudors!

New Playmate!

Well, today I was able to help someone turn a bad situation into a good and healing one. I can not go into details, but it really made me so grateful that I have Bruce and Bruce Jr. We have had so much work related drama the past year and a half and I am just so grateful that this is as far as our personal drama goes. We have such a good home life and I couldn't be happier.

Anyways, Bruce's cousin Cassidy is going to be here with us for a while and little Bruce couldn't be more excited about it. He is loving having a little playmate and I just love watching the two of them together. He was chasing her around the house tonight trying to get her bracelets from her. It as adorable!

Bruce Jr. spent the day with my Mom and I missed him so much. But he had a blast and that is always great! Tomorrow we are celebrating Christmas a little late with my Dad and I'm super excited (even though I already know what he got me). I can't wait to see little man's face when he gets all of his new stuff.

Anyways, I'm off to bed!

Four years!

Wow! I've officially been married for four years now! Bruce called me at 12:04 a.m. to wish me a happy anniversary and then when I got up for the day I had a bouquet of red and white roses next to my bed. I was so excited! I   went and got little man out of bed and played for a little while and then it was time to get ready for the day. Once little man went down for his nap Lisa and I headed to Kingsport!

We went straight to the jewelry store and after going back and forth between stores like 5 times, I finally decided on two charms for my bracelet.

I also got my nails repainted and they look fantastic! I love them! I would have kept shopping but I decided to wear leggings and that is not a good idea for shopping. They kept slipping down and it was starting to hurt. So we left to met up with Mark and little man back in Rogersville and went to dinner and to Wal-Mart. Now I'm relaxing in bed and ready for some rest!

HAPPY ANNIVERSARY HONEY! I LOVE YOU!

Sledding and Jabba the hut!

Today was a day full of snow! It was so awesome! I slept in until around 10 and then got up and came out to play with little man. Then we all decided that we were going to take little man out into the snow. Oh my gosh! It was so much fun! We went sledding which was a first for both of us and it was awesome! Lisa helped little man build a snowman, but he looked more like Jabba the hut. Mark and I had a mini snow ball fight. Even though we were stuck here at the house it was such an awesome day! We got most of the Christmas stuff down except for the tree in the living room and the ornaments and ribbon from above the kitchen cabinets.

The good part of Christmas...

Now, onto happier part of Christmas!

Little man such an awesome Christmas! Santa left him more presents than any of us bought him. Before he went to bed on Christmas Eve we baked Santa homemade cookies and left out some custard and egg nog. Then he went to bed. When he got up in the morning he freaked. He didn't know what to do with all of his new toys. He got a Toy Story tent, a Toy Story table set, a kitchen, shopping cart and some more random toys from Santa. Plus all the stuff that we all got him.

We had such a good Christmas together. Bruce was even able to get on Skype with us which was awesome! He loved being able to see little Bruce enjoy all of his toys. It was so cute to see them two of them interacting.

I got such awesome presents. I finally got my Pandora charm bracelet and charms. I put pictures up on Facebook.

But I'm exhausted and ready to go to bed.

Christmas rant...

This has been the worst Christmas I have ever had. From being away from Bruce to petty drama. The only thing that made it good was my son. I just don't understand people anymore. I am so frustrated with people and their need to have constant friction. And I am tired of being treated as if I am a child. I am a grown woman and I have NEVER had to depend on anyone to bail me out of anything. I have my own family and we support ourselves and yet I get treated as if I am some naive child. How dare anyone talk to me like that! I will not sit there and silently take it next time. I am just so pissed off that people think that they have the right to butt their nose into my life. If I make a decision then it is my decision to make and if you have a problem with it then you come to me. Don't sneak behind my back and do something that a child would do. UGH! My first Christmas without my husband and I have to deal with this shit. And I'll be damned if I take anything from them again, present or anything else. I had to rip up my Christmas present and that just breaks my heart. But I'm done with it. I'm done with it all. From now on if anyone starts this shit with me I am just going to leave. I will not live my life constantly being bombarded by this stuff. I have a wonderful husband and an amazing son and if you can't be apart of my life without being negative then I don't have to come around anymore.

Well enough of the crap, well never mind, I have one more thing to say. When you become a parent it isn't about you anymore, it is about your child. So, if you want to screw you life up and be a druggie and amount to nothing then that is your issue, but how dare you put your child into this mess. Trash...trash...trash...

Christmas depression...

Well the Christmas events start tomorrow night. And usually I would be overjoyed, but this year it is all just a huge reminder that my husband is so far away. I seem to be holding myself together fairly well, but from time to time I feel like I'm cracking. Today while I was watching Mickey Mouse Clubhouse with my Dad and little man I randomly burst into tears. It was so awkward.

Then to make matters even worse, I watched the finale of 16 and Pregnant and it made me so irritated. I understand that her decision was basically impossible, but she kept jerking those people back and forth and it was just completely unfair. She needed to be an adult and be able to make her mind. That girl couldn't make her mind up about ANYTHING! I'm surprised that she was even able to get dressed without someone telling her what to put on.

Anyways, enough of my sadness and ranting.

I had such an awesome day if I forget about all that other stuff. We went to my Moms and made our holiday wreath for Christmas eve, then we ran some errands at Wal-Mart and Advance Auto. Little man is back to his normal self too. Last week he started to get a little irritable. Then Mom and I took him on a day out on Sunday and that was the cure. He was getting tired of being cooped up. Back in San Diego we usually are out and about more, even if it's just a run to the park for an hour. But here it's different. We have snow and cold weather so the park isn't really an option anymore.

After little man and I came home I went to make the wreath for the Linkous family get together tomorrow night and I did all the exact same stuff that Mom and I did, but for some reason mine was horrible. It was so runny and weird. For some reason all my baking/cooking skills have been completely thrown out of whack since I've been here. I can barely cook as it is, but lately it's just been HORRIBLE!

Well, I'm tired. Off to bed for me!

Christmas blues...

The closer it gets to Christmas the more depressed I get. This is the first holiday season I have spent without Bruce and it's killing me. Not to mention that our four year wedding anniversary is on the 27th and I won't have him with me for the first time. I am usually nuts over Christmas and don't get me wrong, I am loving seeing little man see all the Christmas stuff and things like that, but not having Bruce with us is making it so painful at times. I hate that he is missing all of this.

But I am trying to keep busy, which includes TONS of baking. Tomorrow I am making peanut butter balls, sugar cookies and gingerbread cookies. Then on Wednesday and Thursday I am making my holiday wreath.

And to make matters better, Bruce still hasn't gotten his Christmas care package and I am getting impatient. I put so much special Christmas stuff in there and I am worried it will all be for nothing. I sent it out even earlier than I did his Thanksgiving one. Stupid holiday mail!

I miss my husband...

Bruce Jr. misses his daddy...

We miss our little family...

DAD DO NOT READ THIS!

I just had to blog again about my Twilight evening. Basically it consisted of these key phrases:

"Edward can stake me anytime!"
"Wonder what it's like to have sex with a popsicle?"
"She thought a tanning bed could whiten her teeth."
"I wish I had a popsicle!"

Bloodsuckers and furry beasts!

I am really missing Bruce today. And as dumb as it sounds it's all because of the Twilight Saga. I swear, every time I watch those movies it makes me think of what it was like to fall and be in love. I miss getting the butterflies when he came home and the just being near him. Deployments suck! I love those movies, but they sure do make me sad. (But staring at Jacob Black isn't bad on the eyes)

Anyways, the past few days have been interesting. I experienced my first ice storm and let me tell you, I don't want to go through that again. I hated being stuck at the house! I had to leave twice though. Once to get some teething medicine for little Bruce and once to go get Eclipse for Lisa because it showed up at Wal-Mart. If you bought it at the store it was $22, but if you ordered it site to store it was only $17. So, she ordered it and I had to go get it as soon as I got the email because I was dying! But when I went to get the teething medicine I took one step off the porch and bit it! I feel right on my butt, but I made sure to save my purse. I flung it back onto the porch to keep it from getting wet.

Little man is spending the night with my Mom tonight and I don't know what to do with myself. I feel so lost without him here. I can count on one had how many night I have spent away from him and I don't like it one bit.

I am going to get my hair touched up tomorrow and then I am going to go and get my youngin!

Another snow day!

Today was a memorable day for me and little man. I took him out in he snow for the first time. He didn't know what to do, but he didn't want to let go of my hand. It was so cute! He also had to bring his handy doodle pad with him. We didn't stay out long though because we don't have any gloves. But we are going to hopefully get some so we can build a snowman!

Bruce called right as we were coming in which was hilarious! So here I am trying to talk on the phone and bring in bother little man and I who are covered in snow from the knee down. But after juggling those jobs for a minute or two we were finally snow free! But we for sure have to get some gloves soon. It was so cold!

But there is a huge downside to having the snow, I CAN'T GO GET ANY DR. PEPPER! I am dying without  it. I need it like a vampire needs blood! This is going to be a rough day.

Little man and I had such an amazing morning though. We just played and he did such a good job eating. The past week or so he hasn't wanted to eat much and today he did great. He ate two eggs for breakfast, sweet potatoes and half a peanut butter sandwich for lunch. Whew!  I am so happy that he ate good. I've been worrying so much about that.

I was so ready for naptime today. Even though we had a good morning, I am still feeling a little stuffy and needed to rest. Once he went down I heated up my left over calzone from yesterday and curled up on the couch for an afternoon of Bridezillas and soaps. During commercials I caught up on One Tree Hill online. I haven't watched it since I got here to Tennessee. But I think my favorite part of naptime was just watch the snow fall. It was so beautiful! There has been a steady amount snow falling all morning and afternoon!

The evening was pretty lazy! Just laid around the rest of the day playing.

Snow day!

Well, after almost two longs weeks of no contact with Bruce he finally called us this morning! I was just getting my make up on for my day out with my Daddy and all of a sudden I heard his ringtone "Santa Baby" and I freaked! I answered the phone and ran straight to little Bruce. He was so excited! He just kept running around, he didn't know what to do. He just kept saying Dada and I love you. It was adorable! He has really missed talking to his Daddy.

And to make our day even better it snowed almost all day! We are surely having a white December and I couldn't be happier. We will be in San Diego next Christmas so I am so happy that little man is getting a white Christmas! I can't wait for the day when it is thick enough for little man and I to go out and actually play in it. He just keeps looking out the window watching it and laughing. He is so cute! The picture is from earlier on in the day before it started sticking to the roads.

But even though little man and I are loving the snow, it does have a downside. All of our family has to travel in it. My parents and Bruce's parents and brother. I just hope that everyone is able to get to work safely and home safely. Prayers!

I don't know what got into everyone tonight but we were all acting so goofy. I spent almost an hour stuck under a blanket trying to get little man to come find me and he never did! He kept coming up and smacking me! It was so funny!

I also got to end my day with another phone call from Bruce. It was a perfect ending to a great day.

Pictures and missing Bruce...

So last night we took our second annual Christmas pictures and let me tell you, it's so hard to do without Bruce and with a toddler. But after about a half an hour I got a picture I could use. Whew! I ordered them on the Wal-Mart website and I will be picking them up later today. I just have a few more to address and I'm done!

Lately I have been becoming more and more grateful for the husband I have. When I really think about what I hear about some men it just makes me so thankful for Bruce. He enjoys just about everything I do and even if he doesn't he still does it with me. He loves to watch all the same shows and movies as I do (minus soaps). He loves all the same games and just really gets me. I am so thankful that even though he has to work during the week he still lets me be the one to sleep in on the weekends. I never have to worry about him with little Bruce. He is such an amazing Daddy and loves that little boy more than anything in this world. I couldn't have picked a better man to be my husband or father my children. I love you honey! And I miss you terribly!

Missing him...

I miss my husband. I am so done with this deployment. The holidays are making this so much harder. I can't stand it. It is our first Thanksgiving/Christmas/New Years apart. It's more than I can take at times. And to make it worse we have little man. If it was just me missing him it wouldn't be this bad, but knowing that my son is wondering where his Daddy is just kills me. I want him here to hold me and make me smile. That's all...

Depressing Night...

Last night was a horribly depressing night. I had a good day, but when it got dark I started to hear a dog barking and whining outside. It was to far away for me to know where he was but he barked for hours. And Rogersville doesn't have an animal control so I couldn't report it and everyone was telling me that the cops and stuff wouldn't do anything about it here. And it all just made me think of Bruce. If he were here he would have gone out regardless of the time to find that dog and help it out. No matter what was going on Bruce would always take care of anything like that. I miss having him here so much.

Date Night!

Yesterday was a fun day for us! I got our first set of bills paid for the month and that is always a huge relief to know that you have that taken care of for the rest of the month! Then little man and I just hung out until after naptime and we went to my Mom's house to spend time with her. We ended up going shopping for some Christmas presents for my Doppledanger's kids, Chayla and Ayden. I ended up buying more than I thought though. But I sure do love those kids! Then it was dinner time so we went to get some mexican food and then it was back to her house for the rest of the night. Bruce and I headed home at 7 and we were all alone which is a rarity at night. So, we just played and cuddled for about 2.5 seconds. After he went to bed I got to work on wrapping their presents and it was so funny. Lisa wrapped two things in the time it took me to wrap one! I am so picky about wrapping them. But it's worth it in the end I think. After that I just spent my night catching up on my soaps and then it was off to bed for me.

Today was going to be a L-A-Z-Y day for little man and I, but halfway through the morning I discovered that we were down to our last few wipes (you were right Lisa, are you happy now that you are in here?). So, once little man went down for his nap I got a shower and got ready for the two of us to head to Target. That is the one thing I hate about being here, Target is about an hour away! But we turned it into a mother/son date. I have had to share him so much since being here so going out like this is going was nice.We took care of some much needed errands too. We went to Target and then went through Pal's for dinner! On the way home we called Mark to see if he wanted to meet us at Wal-Mart in town and he said sure. So he met us and we got what we needed done there and Lisa showed up for a few and then we came home and I got to work on baking Bruce's cookies and finishing his care package. I got all that done thankfully and it didn't take me forever! But now it's off to bed for me!

Slow day...

Today was such an awesome day! But it started off with a little scare. I woke up in the middle of the night and realized that I didn't have the monitor plugged in. I jumped up and plugged it in and thankfully little man was fast asleep. I have no idea what time that happened, because I quickly passed right back out. Little man got up a little after 8 and then my Daddy came over. We just spent the morning playing and spending time snuggling. I missed him so much yesterday. I had to get all of the cupcakes in the oven before my Daddy left to go to work because I didn't want to take time away from little man to do that. So, I got them made and baked up and let them cool during naptime. Once little man went down for his nap I made me some lunch and it was horrible. I did a horrible job on my burger and decided to put a huge slice of onion on it and realized that it was to much when it was almost gone. I have a horrible taste in my mouth the rest of the day and it made me feel all icky. Then I played a few rounds of COD and watched my soaps.

Once little man got up I got to work on the frosting for the cupcakes. Once all of that was done it was playtime for me and little man. Mark got home from work and then Opal showed up to visit for a little while. We just spent the rest of the day playing and relaxing.

Dollywood!

I went to Dollywood today with my Mommy and we had a blast! On the way there I kept taking pictures of places that Bruce and I went to for our one year wedding anniversary. We spent the weekend up there and it was such an awesome weekend. As soon as we got there we went to see Smokey Mountain Christmas! It was so nice! But the way Mom talked about it I was expecting Jesus to actually show up or something. But it was a pretty show.

After that we walked around and then seen another show and relaxed with some hot cocoa. We had to go see Babes in Toyland in honor of little Bruce. I missed him so much! I hate being away from him for that long. But anyways, after that we watched the Carol of the Trees and it was hilarious! Mom and I were dancing to the music in front of all these people and acting a fool. We were acting like Tweedle Dee and Tweedle Dum.

Our day consisted of these key phrases: "my face was on your vagina", "pooped in the church parking lot" and "grandma got ran over by a tram car". Long story, don't ask.

I also made sure to take a lot of pictures of me in Dollywood because Bruce has been complaining that he never gets pictures of me, but I just never think to take any of me. For me it's all about little Bruce.

Well, I'm tired and going to bed!

Trees, elephants and new stuff...

I guess it is time for another update.

Little man is doing so much new stuff since we got here a little over a month ago. He is saying all new stuff and the other day he actually was play pretending with hid Daddy and Uncle Rickys Batman action figures. It was adorable. I almost cried. He is trying all new stuff too. It's been amazing. The only thing that could make this all better is if his Daddy was here with us. I think he is getting some new teeth too. It's hard to tell though because he will never let me look in there. He is so stubborn! I've also been doing his hair too. We've given him a faux hawk, combed it over and spiked it. He looks so adorable!

We also put up our Chrismas stuff! Since we are here in Tennessee instead of home we had to get a new little tree to put up just for us. We usually have a green one, so since we are here I thought I would do something different. I got a white one! We have tons of pretty ornaments and little man has Toy Story ones and a Toy Story socking. He is in love with Christmas! He just keeps saying "tree" and staring at the trees. It's so cute! He loves the little musical toys and stuff that Lisa has. He keeps pressing the buttons and dancing with them. Chrismas has always been my favorite holiday, but having a child at Christmas makes it so much better than I could have ever imagined! I can't to do all of our holiday stuff with him, decorate cookies, see the lights, watch all the classics and the new Christmas movies. I'm so excited!

Bruce has been able to call us almost everyday since he left and it's been amazing. Little Bruce knows his ringtone and everytime it goes off he starts yelling "Dada"! He has been doing the coolest things on deployment. He went to Pearl Harbor, Saipan and he also got to go on a zip line and a elephant tour while in Thailand! I love that he is getting the chance to see parts of the world that most people don't get to see.

Well, I'm off to bed. I am going to Dollywood with my Mom tomorrow to see the Christmas shows.

Blah, blah, blah

The days here in Tennessee have been blurring together. It seems lke I've been here forever, but at the same time I still have so much longer to go. Little Bruce has been saying Dada constantly and it's killing me. I know that he misses him so much and doesn't understand why Daddy isn't here. But family has been awesome. He has taken to everyone so well and it's been such a blessing. We have already sent out our first care package and I've already started on the second one. Bruce sent home a video of him reading a bedtime story for little man and it was so awesome to see him. I miss him so much. I am so tired all the time though. I feel like I am constantly visiting someone or doing something and having to deal with all of that plus missing Bruce is starting to get to me.

Anyways, on a more positive note, I've lost lbs since we've been here in Tennessee! I am so excited! Only 33 more to go! I have been going to the gym four days a week and working my butt off. Plus I am getting my tan back! Yay! I am so tired of being a ghost!

My new goal is to put a little money aside so I can get myself a pretty ring. I have one in mind at Zales.

I have also become addicted to COD. But I limit my playing time to only when little man is in bed. It's so much fun!

Well, I'm tired! Night!

Daddy Daughter Day

This morning started off great. My little guy came and woke me up with a smile and then it was breakfast time. After breakfast we all got ready to go out for the day. Little man went with my Mom to my Mamaw's  and I went out with my Daddy. We headed to Kingsport to go to Texas Roadhouse and oh my gosh! I have really missed that place. This was my birthday dinner and I got a steak and a margarita! AWESOME! After lunch we headed to Hobby Lobby to get some stuff for Bruce's care package and then went to Verizon to pay our cell phone bill.

We headed on back to Rogersville and then Mom left to go to see Larry the Cable Guy with my Aunt Judy for her birthday/Christmas. Dad and I waited for little man to wake up and we went off to Wal-Mart to kill some time and let little man run around. We had so much fun in there! After that it was back to the house and we spent the rest of the day just sitting around doing nothing. But I'm going to enjoy this down time and relax! Night!

Life in Tennessee...

It's been brought to my attention that I have been neglecting my blog since I got to Tennessee (Alyssa! lol) But she is right. I've just been so busy. Anyways, it's been two weeks since I said goodbye to Bruce and it hasn't gotten any easier. But the hardest part is when little Bruce talks about "dada". Bruce has always been the one to put him to bed at night and everytime I ask him if he is ready to go night night, he looks up and says "dada". It just breaks my heart.

But he is doing so good adjusting to our new temporary life here in Tennessee. He has bonded with everyone here and it's made it so nice. We just got adjusted to our routine and now the stupid time is going to change! Who else hates that?! Anyways, Bruce is doing all kinds of new stuff. He is saying juice, tea and nana (banana). He shakes his head yes and no. He runs from diaper changes and when I need to wipe his nose. He knows how to use a napkin now. He is just doing so good.

Me on the other hand is still adjusting. I am not used to sharing my time with little man so much. But it's been so good for me to have the down time. I've enjoyed it so much. And it's good for little man to spend time without me with other people. I went to see Paranormal Activity 2 last night with my Daddy and father in law. And oh my gosh, the whole baby situation really had me freaked. I just wanted to go home and grab little man and hold him and not let go. But he was asleep when we got home. The movie was good, but that baby thing was to much for me I think. I am going out to lunch at Texas Roadhouse tomorrow with my Dad and to get things for Bruce's first care package. I'm so excited to send him one. I got some stuff tonight for it!

One thing that I am doing here to keep busy is work out! Oh my gosh! Before the whole fire situation I was doing so good with my diet and exercise routine. I had lost 2 lbs in a week and then the fire happened and it all went downhill from there. But I'm back on schedule now and it's been awesome. I workout on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays. I can only eat out on the weekend. I have to drink 69 ounces of water a day and I'm taking some green tea supplements. I feel really good. I am hoping to lose at least 30 - 40 lbs before Bruce comes home next Spring. I'm also trying to get my tan back. I used to tan alot before I got pregnant, but I haven't had the chance to get back to it since having him. But now that I have so many free babysitters here I have the time to workout and tan. It's been amazing and it's such a good distraction from the deployment.

Well, that's about it for tonight. I am super tired.

Deployment week...

Well, Bruce is gone. He left on Friday. I still can't wrap my mind around the fact that he is gone. I miss him so much already and we are only two days into this deployment.

Anyways, on Tuesday my mother in law, Lisa came out to San Diego to surprise Bruce. It was so awesome. I told Bruce I had to go pick up a friend and I went to the airport and got her. Bruce was so happy to have her there. On Wednesday we didn't do much. But we went to go see Jackass 3D that night. It was so dang funny. But there was only one part of the movie that I physically could not stomach. It was the Sweatsuit Cocktail. That was disgusting! Ugh! Thursday we spent the day packing up Bruce's stuff for deployment and trying to get the house together for my rip to Tennessee. We went to Outback for dinner and had HORRIBLE service. Then it was home for our last poof night with friends and then bed.

Friday was D day. Deployment day.

The day started very early. We all got up and got ready and headed to the pier. Bruce put the rest of his stuff on the ship and then we waited on the pier. Bruce and little Bruce were interviewed for the news and that was pretty awesome. When the time came to say goodbye none of us were ready for it. Bruce left and got on the ship and we stood there until he pulled out. After they were gone we raced to Point Loma to watch them go out into the water and then they were gone. We went home and put little man down to nap and then Lisa fell asleep too. I sat there just thinking about the fact that Bruce was gone and I just couldn't accept it. I eventually just went into a blank stare and the next thing I knew it was time for little man to get up. We spent the rest of the day packing and then it was off to bed.

We got up early on Saturday and went off to the airport. We had such good flights, but crazy landings! My Daddy surprised me at the airport! I was so excited! We got home and put little man down. Today we just spent the day at home. I wanted to let him relax and recharge after a rough few days. It was so nice. There isn't much to talk about as far as activites today. My Daddy came over and so did Bruce's Nana. Surprisingly little man is already adjusted to Tennessee time which is pretty awesome! But I'm tired. So good night!

Lunch and a movie

I had such an awesome day! I got to sleep in again thanks to my amazing hubby. Then I got up did the dishes and started to get ready to go out with Alicia H. for my birthday present. She picked me up and we went to Chevy's for lunch and then we went to see Life As We Know It. It was pretty good, but it was more sad that I thought it was going to be. She brought me back home and I was so happy to see my little family after watching that movie. We finally got started on carving  little man's pumpkin and Bruce did such a good job on it. It's a Dora pumpkin! It looks awesome! We spent the rest of the day just playing and catching up on our DVR. It was a pretty basic day here at the house.

Busy, busy, busy

It was such a busy day. We got up and went to a birthday party down the street. We couldn't stay long because little man had to eat lunch and take his nap. During naptime I packed our box of stuff to send to Tennessee and taped the heck out of it. Bruce said I added about 10 lbs just in tape. But I like it that way. When little man got up we headed to the post office to ship it off to Tennessee. It costs us about $40 to send it! Whew! But I am happy that I got that out of the way. Then we went to Target to look at headphones for Bruce and got my hair color. After the mall we headed to the NEX to get stuff for Bruce for deployment and we got little man a light winter coat. Then we went to dinner and headed on home. I got started on my hair and got super nervous because it was so red when the color was on. I about freaked! Andrea and Jake came over to play games and it was the funnest game night in recent history. I sweat, Andrea and Jake had us cracking up! We played Clue, Uno and Catchphrase. Well, off to bed!

Work again...

Bruce had to go back to work today. It was so nice having him home for two whole weeks, but now he is gone again. Ugh! But the good news is that it is now the weekend and we get to have him all to ourselves!

Anyways our day was pretty fun. I was kind of happy to have little man all to myself this morning. It's been over two weeks since I have been alone with him like that. We just played and cuddled and I didn't have to share him. But I would have much rather had Bruce home with us though, but seeing as how that wasn't possible I was so happy to have some mommy and son time. The carpet cleaners came back and redid the downstairs carpet which was awesome! I played COD during naptime and then I got ready to go to the Fall Festival that housing puts on for us in the park. He got up and I got him dressed and we headed to the park. It was packed! But little man did so good. He ate so good and then he was fascinated by all the kids in costumes! It was adorable. We didn't stay long because it was kind of hard to be there taking care of him all by myself, but it was so worth it. We came back to the house and relaxed the rest of the night. I put him to bed and played some more COD and worked on laundry. But it's super late and I'm going to bed.

Zoo

FUN FUN DAY HERE!

I slept in until 11 today! Whoo hoo! Once I got up we went to McDonald's for lunch because they were coming to spray for ants in the kitchen. Little man got to stay up past his nap time, but surprisingly it didn't phase him. We came home and put him down around 1 and he went right on down as usual. Then I went to go get ready because once he got up we were going to the zoo!

We got to the zoo around 3:45ish and found out that they closed at 5. So, needless to say we didn't get to see everything. We rode the sky ride though and little man loved it! I was so nervous because I thought he might freak, but he was perfect! We went straight to to polar bears and he tried so hard to get the bears attention and he kept calling it a puppy. But he also called EVERY animal in the zoo a puppy. It was adorable! We got to see the pandas, koalas, elephants and a lion. Then we left to meet up with Alicia H., Rob, Andrea, Jake and Goss at Outback Steakhouse. We had an awesome dinner and went to Target with everyone afterwards.

The boys decided to be children while we were in Target and put on costumes. Jake dressed up as a gorilla and scared the heck out of Alicia H. It was hilarious! Bruce and Rob dressed up as chickens and ran around the store clucking. We had so much fun! Then it was off to the house for poof night. I can't believe that I only have one poof night left before I am in Tennessee.

Well, I'm off to bed.

P.S. Blogger won't show me the upload photo page anymore so that is why I haven't had any photos in a few days.

Basic Day

Today was a pretty uneventful day here at the Estep house. I slept again this morning thanks to my wonderful husband. The I got up and was able to spend some time alone with little man while Bruce was outside detailing our car. I played COD during nap time and the people that USAA hired to clean our couch and did an amazing job. After nap time we went to get new base decals for our car and fulfill our WIC checks. I made little man a mini breakfast feast for dinner. He had eggs, toast and bananas. Lifts man and Bruce went outside for some man time and I cleaned up the kitchen and waited for them to come back in. We all just played and spent family time together until bed time. After little Bruce went down Bruce went to finish the car and I played COD with his brother, Ricky. Bruce finished and came in and we took turns playing. We quit playing around ten and watched One Tree Hill. Well it's off to bed for me.

Garage Overhaul!

This morning was a complete lazy morning again here in the Estep house. We just laid around and played and watched cartoons. But nap time was a whole nother story. I spent 3 hours trying to get Bruce's XBOX Live to work again since we switched service providers. It had thrown something off with our router. But after a lot of work I got it to work. But I was super annoyed at this point. Anyways, little man woke up and we all went to the garage to get to work on cleaning it out. It looks so different now. We are now able to fit both cars in there. I love it! It looks so clean! Then we came in and I made pizza for dinner and the boys went to take a shower. After dinner I cleaned up and went upstairs to take a shower of my own. Then Alicia H. and Rob came over for another night of COD. It was so much fun! I am going to miss our little get togethers. Bruce and I stayed up late and played for a few hours. I like that I didn't get into playing until now, because it makes it so much more fun to stay up and play with him since it's all new to me. We've been having a blast! But I'm going to go spend some more time with my hubby!

Blah...

It was such a lazy day here. We just spent the day laying around and playing. They guy from AT&T showed up and finally fixed our home phone line. Time Warner had cut the lines when the old renters lived here. But we were busy after naptime. We went to Verizon because something was going on with the screen of my phone, they fixed it. Then we went to the mall to get my armor put back on and then we headed to Time Warner to turn in our old modem. Then it was home for dinner and bathtime for little man. Alicia H. and Rob came over after bedtime to have a little COD tournament. Bruce placed first, Rob placed second, I placed third and Alicia H. was fourth. It was so much fun! We are doing it again tomorrow at their house on the Playstation. I am so excited. I feel so weird that my blogs have been so short lately, but with Bruce deploying soon I just want to spend my time with him. Well, I'm off to bed.

10-10-10

Today was my birthday! I have been here for 23 years now! Today was so awesome! I got to sleep in and spend the rest of the day with my boys. We laid around the house all morning and during naptime I played a few rounds of COD and then got ready for the day. After little man got up we went to Chevy's for dinner. Their present for me was putting Ghost Armor on my new phone and getting me a pretty cover for it. It was just an amazing day. The only thing that could have made it better is if our families were with us. Little man also said mama again at dinner. The little stinker likes to torture me with it. I was going to put pictures on this blog but it won't let me for the second day in a row! Ugh! Well, I am off to go spend some time with the hubby!

Birthday with friends!

Today was so freaking awesome! We started off by going to the pumpkin patch with Alicia H. and Rob! It was so much fun! We got little man a pumpkin and we are going to put Dora on it! I am so excited! Little man had so much fun with all the pumpkins, but it was super hot so we all got tired really quick! After the pumpkin patch we stopped at McDonald's for lunch and headed on home. Little man was so tired. He fell asleep about 5 minutes before we got home. We took him straight up to bed though. I then started getting ready for my night out with the girls!

We left around 5 and went to Chevy's for dinner. It was so amazing as usual! They told them it was my birthday though and I got to wear a sombrero! It was so funny! I had two margaritas and was feeling good though! I managed to talk them into taking me to Verizon before we went to the comedy show and for some reason unbeknown to me I was able to talk them into upgrading me two weeks early! But I am not the proud owner of the Droid X! AHH!!!

We headed straight to the comedy club and got seats! It was so funny! It was nice to go to a comedy show where it wasn't all about sex and stuff like that. It was all jokes that I could tell little man one day. I loved it! The only downside was that there were over 40 teenagers in there from some school being completely loud! After we left I beat Andrea with a bottle in the alley way! Long story, don't ask. Well, I'm super tired and going to bed!

Clean, clean, clean...

I don't think that long is the proper word to describe today. It started off great. But then the cleaning people came. It was easy while they were here, I just hung out upstairs with little Bruce because Bruce had to go to check out on leave today. After the cleaning people left the work began. I had to reorganize EVERYTHING in the kitchen and wash all of our linens. I had to sweep the floor, mop it twice and wax it. Whew...Vacuuming was the worst part though. I had to stay bent down almost the entire time to make sure that the dust wasn't clogging up the filter. It was ridiculous. But I am so happy to have my house back. I feel like I haven't been here in forever! The only things left on my to do list as far as getting the house clean and ready for deployment is getting the new microwave installed, getting the phone and internet fixed and get our carpets cleaned. That is on top of doing everything as far as getting packed for Tennessee and shipping most of it there ahead of time. A few weeks ago I took a picture of all the hair that came out of my head while I was shampooing and I feel like if I did  the same thing tonight I would have double that amount come out in clumps. It's ridiculous. I have so much to do! Ugh...

I am going to make this a short one. I'm to tired to write anymore.

We're Home!

Well, I am happy to announce that we are now back home! We got up around 9 and packed up and headed to the house. Bad news is that we have to stay upstairs because little man can't touch anything downstairs until it's cleaned. I spent my morning and afternoon cleaning the upstairs so I am done cleaning. The Servpro people are going to do the downstairs for me! I am super excited about that. They are coming tomorrow morning.

When I checked the mail Bruce's daddy doll had come! We were so excited for him to get up from his nap so we could show him. He loves it! He wouldn't quit smiling and laughing at it. I loved it! We just spent the rest of the day playing upstairs and that's about it. Little man loves being home and so do we.

Day 3...

We slept in until 8:30 today which was awesome! We got ready and headed on down to the continental breakfast again. We ended up bringing it back to our room and eating in here. I then spent the rest of my morning calling USAA, Servpro, Venturi Clean and our housing trying to coordinate the clean up process. Regardless of whether or not it is clean tomorrow we can go home because the machine that is getting rid of the smoke smell was taken out at 5:00 today. It will be weird to be confined to our upstairs though, but super nice to be home. Bruce found out that this does not count as his leave though! That is a huge relief!

While little man took his nap, both Bruce and I followed his lead and we both passed right out. We woke up around 3:00 and started to get ready to go out for dinner for the last time. We swung by the house on the way to Alicia H.'s house to see what was going on there. We are the proud owners of a new stove. We left and went to Alicia H.'s house and waited for her to get off of work and then we went to PF Changs. It was very interesting. The food was good though. I ended up having to take little man to the car right after I ate because he knew it was bedtime and was getting pretty cranky. We headed straight back to the hotel and put little man down.

By the way, the cleaning people are coming on Friday to clean the downstairs and then they are coming on Monday to steam clean the couch. I am so dang excited.

Day 2...

Last night went so good! Little man slept so good and so did we. We all woke up and got ready and went to down to the continental breakfast here at the hotel. Little man and Bruce had waffles and cereal. I on the other hand was just wanting coffee. I still have two gift cards to Starbucks from referring people to the ultrasound place we used. So we all came back upstairs and got our stuff together and went to Starbucks and then headed downtown to the children's museum. We had so much fun. There was so much stuff to do there. His favorite part of all of 9it was the blocks for sure. He had so much fun building stuff and knocking it down. He also liked the orange furry wall. There was alot of stuff in there that he couldn't do though. There was clay and paint and we tried the bubbles but all he wanted to do was splash in the bubble liquid. So, needless to say that we didn't stay there very long. I can't wait until he is old enough to not want to eat the paint and clay so we can let him create some art for us.

We headed back "home' after that to eat lunch and put little man down for his nap. He took about 30 minutes to go down this time, but it's understandable because he usually goes down in his bedroom and it's daylight in there. But when we put him down Bruce ran out to get us some lunch and I tried to upload pictures, but it took me about 30 minutes to upload 12 pictures. I have a ton of pictures from the museum, but I won't be able to post them up until we are back in our house. After Bruce got back with lunch we ate and I took a good nap. Little man woke me up and we spent the rest of the afternoon just playing here in the room.

We had to wait for Andrea to get off work for us to go to the house to get Alicia H.'s phone out of there because Andrea didn't have a key to the room. Once she got here we headed to our house and Bruce went in there to get the phone. The smell was pretty intense. I could smell it from the backyard. Bruce didn't cover his mouth or nose at first, but after a minute or two he pulled his shirt up to cover his face. So we decided that we were for sure going to stay in a hotel another night. We took the phone over to Alicia H. and then we went to Taco Bell to get dinner.

When we got back to the room we ate and made little man's dinner and spent the evening hanging out with Andrea and then we put little man to bed and just relaxed. Tomorrow is going to be a busy day of phone calls trying to get everything set up with the cleaners and the people that housing hired to get the smoke out of the house and clean up the kitchen. Our insurance has people coming to clean EVERYTHING, and when I say everything I mean every since item that is downstairs. I'm super excited about that. I also have to find out when housing is going to have someone come clean our carpets. But I will be super happy to be back in our house Thursday, even though we are going to be stuck upstairs until everything is done.

Well, I am going to sign off of here, relax and watch The Biggest Loser.

Fire!

I had such a long day. I didn't get to bed until a little after 1:00 and then at 3:00 little man decided to throw a party in his crib. He had turned on his little musical piano that is in his crib onto continuous play and he turned on his mobile. So I waited until I heard him fall back asleep and I had to sneak in there and turn off the piano. The mobile turns off on it's own. It was so cute to see him sleeping though. I miss napping with the little guy. But we both slept till a little after 8:00 and spent our morning playing. We went upstairs and put away all the laundry and cleaned his bathroom! It was so nice to get that out of the way. I have to clean the entire house really good before we go home on the 23rd. I don't carry little man up and down the stairs anymore because he is becoming more independent, but for some reason he didn't want to go down the stairs on his own this time. We were on the stairs for a good 10 minutes. He finally gave in and came on down though. Whew! I made his lunch and then he went off to nap.

I put a pizza in the oven for my lunch and after a minute or two I go to check on it and the entire stove is on fire! I rush to my extinguisher and call 911 and I contained the fire as best as I could. Once I ran out of CO2 I got little man and went outside until the fire men got here. They put it out and said I did the right thing. We spent the rest of the afternoon trying to get everything worked out with our insurance and housing because the CO2 and whatever the fire men used was all over the place. Operation Homefront booked up a hotel room for the next two days which was amazing! We are now all set up in the hotel. All 4 of us. Andrea was so funny when she found out. But she is here with us. I think we should just adopt her at this point. But I am going to wrap this up and spend time with my family now.

ANTS!

Today was nice and relaxing. I got up and played with little man and continued working on laundry. Nothing interesting really happened this morning. He took an unbelievably long nap though. Rob came to pick me up at 3 to take me to base to get my car and Alicia H. sat at the house with little man and waited for him to get up. I dropped off Bruce's boots and got the car and on the way home I had to pick up some ant killer because our pantry had them in there thanks to an incredibly sticky bottle of syrup. I got home and took everything out of the pantry and threw away a lot of food due to the ants and then I went to town with the spray and killed them all! Little man and I decided we wanted Chick Fil A for dinner so off we went. But as soon as I turned onto Rosecrans I realized that they were closed on Sundays. So I went to Wal-Mart to get little man some more pancakes and then we headed home. I got home and made us dinner and then put little man to bed. I then spent the next hour and a half playing COD and completely sucked at it the entire time. Now I am going to go wipe the spray out of the cabinet and clean it and then it's off to bed for this little lady!

Surprise party!

I got to sleep in until 11:00 this morning! It was awesome! I was supposed to go to the gym while Bruce and little Bruce ran some errands this morning, but I slept to late. But it's okay. I needed some rest. After they got back I played with little man and then he went down for his nap and I got started on doing laundry. Bruce left to go do something secretive so I got ready for the day and caught up on my soaps. After little man got up it was BBQ time! Alicia H., Shaela and Dustin came over and we had a blast. I got turkey burgers since they are almost half the calories of beef burgers and I couldn't even tell the difference! So, needless to say I am now a turkey burger kind of girl. Rob showed up after he finished volunteering at the air show and the girls and I went out for ice cream at Cold Stone.

When we got back Bruce surprised me with my cookie cake! I love cookie cakes! I didn't eat any tonight because I had just had a bowl of ice cream. But little man at a piece and he got it everywhere! It was so funny! Marcy came over while we were gone to Cold Stone too!

We took little Bruce straight upstairs for a bath after he finished eating and then we came down and I cleaned up the kitchen and we all played Catchphrase. It was guys against girls. And us girls got our butts kicked. I'm not sure how that happened, but what can I say. Everyone left and Bruce put little man down for the night and we caught up on Grey's Anatomy. Now it's off to bed for us!

COD Day!

This morning was weird. My little man was still not feeling very good so it was a sad and rough morning for us. He was fine most of it, but after a while he just got to feeling icky and wasn't wanting anything to do with anything. I just tried my best to keep him happy until it was nap time. He ate his lunch and went right on down. I made myself a salad and watched Parking Wars. After I finished eating and cleaned up little man's toy mess I decided to try and improve my skills on COD. And I have to say, I'M NOT VERY GOOD. I was playing on live and after my team won a guy on the speaker said "and we even had a handicap, a 11 kill handicap to be exact." I got killed 11 times in one round and didn't kill anyone on my own. It was so funny. But it's fun to try. But those guys get so intense when they play. It's crazy. This one guy was on there just cussing and yelling and all this stuff. It was ridiculous. Bruce got off work before little man got up so as soon as little man was up and dressed we left to go run some errands. We got our home phone, new AT&T modem and a few other things. We headed on home and it was dinner time. Little man and I had grilled cheese and Bruce has leftovers from last night. After that they went outside for their nightly man time and then Bruce gave him a bath while I went to work on hooking up our new internet and phone service. At this moment I still don't have it set up so hopefully in the morning I can look at it with fresh eyes and get it done. Bruce and I played a few rounds of COD and he kicked my butt. But that was completely expected. We were going to catch up on some shows tonight, but we played for to long and this whole internet thing complicated that. But the good news is that I get to sleep in tomorrow. I love that Bruce lets me sleep in whenever he is here. It's such an amazing gift. I have always been a lover of sleep, but since having little man my incredible sleep sessions are few and far between. I know I am not going to be so sleep deprived when I get home to Tennessee, but there is something different about that. I love that little Bruce gets that one on one attention with his Daddy and I know Bruce loves it too. Since Bruce is deploying soon I just want the two of them to spend as much time as they can together. I am not looking forward to next month. Anyways, enough of the sad stuff. I am off to work on this internet thing some more and then hit the sheets.

Four Hundredish...

This morning was great! I played with little man all morning and it was raining and it was thundering and it was lightening! It was amazing! Alicia H. called and said she was coming over so we hung out until she had to go to work. During nap time I did my Biggest Loser workout and then had a salad for lunch. Then I just relaxed. Little man woke up and I had a sick child. His back teeth are coming in so he has a fever. Poor little guy. I have him a fever reducer and let him take it easy.

When Bruce got home I headed to the gym. I burned about 400 calories! I was shocked! I am so dang happy! I am really hoping I see some awesome results when I weigh in on Monday.

I came home and got started on dinner. I made homemade biscuits and a little biscuit man for little Bruce. I gave him blue eyes and a red mouth! Bruce made the sausage, bacon and gravy. Needless to say I am not eating anything that I just described. I am having another salad.

Little man went down for the night and it was poof night! Alicia H. and Rob came over to watch Jersey Shore us. I have to say, I LOVE THAT SHOW! After Jersey Shore went off Alicia H. and Rob left. Andrea stayed and watched Vampire Dairies with us. Tonight's episode was intense and next weeks looks even better! I am so excited! Well, it's off to bed for this little lady!

Ugh kind of day...

Since when did being rude, inconsiderate and obnoxious become okay? Did I miss the letter in the mail saying that it was now acceptable to be completely inconsiderate of others? I just don't understand. If you see that a person isn't laughing at your jokes or if they look as if it is bothering them then why keep it up? I just can't stand it. I also miss the days of chivalry. Where did that go? Is it so hard to do? And why is it so hard to pick up after yourself? It's not that hard. I just don't understand people sometimes. Aren't you supposed to take pride in your home and yourself? And if you're having a conversation with someone and the radio is up loud, TURN IT DOWN! Why is it necessary to have to basically yell in order to hear each other? And if you can tell that someone is upset or if they are having a bad day, why do you think it's necessary to fuss at them while asking what is wrong? How about being nice and trying to understand why instead of being defensive? Ugh...

Anyways, enough venting. Today was ok. Little man and I played most of the morning, but he is getting his back teeth in so he was pretty grouchy by the time it was nap time. But he went down great as usual. After nap Bruce came home and I went to the gym. I burned about 200 calories! It was awesome! I just got to keep it up. We went to the grocery store to get some stuff for salads and we got McDonald's for big Bruce. Way to be supportive right? After dinner I blogged and now I am going to go shower and go to bed. I'm exhausted.

S.M.T.

Today began with coffee, lots and lots of coffee. I don't know why, but I didn't sleep too good last night. I do know that little man woke up around 4:30 and whined for a few, so I know that that was a contributing factor. When I got him up this morning it was so cute, he ran straight to his couch and sat down and leaned back with his arm and watched his morning cartoons waiting for his breakfast. I love that little guy. We watched Dancing with the Stars and I have to say that my favorites are Rick, Bristol, Audrina and Kyle. Little man spent his morning trying to wear big Bruce's shoes. He could get his foot in one, but every time he tried to put the other one on he would fall out. It was so cute!

Once little man was done for his nap it was workout time for me. Today was all lower body, but I did pretty good. I burned about 60 calories. I am so excited to get to Rogersville so I can start going to the gym and taking some classes to really burn off some weight!

After little Bruce woke up big Bruce came home! So I decided to go to the gym for a little bit. Oh my gosh! I burned so many calories while I was there! It was awesome! Once I got back home I cooked dinner. Tonight was a grilled cheese night here. Little Bruce ate a whole sandwich all by himself! I'm so proud. After dinner it was family playtime. We broke out the camera to make some home videos. We spent a good half an hour being chased and attacked by little man. It was a blast. And it tired us all out.

For movie night we watched Frozen. I freaking loved it! It was sort of like Open Water, except these three people were stranded on a ski lift. I highly recommend it. Well, off to bed.

Duty Day...

Bruce had duty today so it was just me and little man! Alicia H. and a new friend were coming over at 10:30 for a playdate so I decided to go ahead and do my workout and shower before they got here. Little man loved watching me workout! He was trying to do it with me. He was just laughing and jibber jabbering the entire time. But as soon as I finished my workout I got a text from Alicia H. saying that she wasn't feeling up to coming over so I was a little bummed. But the good side of that is that now I don't have to do my workout during nap time. Little man and I went upstairs to get cleaned up and watch cartoons. We had such a good morning!

Nap time was complete relaxation for me. I ate lunch and then cuddled up on the couch. I haven't had a soda in a  long time so I had one with my lunch and regretted it because it gave me a huge headache. I was woken up by someone coming into the house and it turns out that it was Bruce. He had a class that day and ran home on lunch to try and see us. He was upset that little man was still napping. He napped till a little after 3 today which was awesome.

The rest of the day was just a lazy day here until Andrea got here. We ate dinner then we went out in the back yard to play for a little bit and then it was time for little man to go to bed. We played three rounds of Call of Duty and then watched last weeks Vampire Diaries. Well, off to bed. Super excited to have my hubby back tomorrow.

Play Day!

Today we got up and decided to take little man to the indoor playplace at McDonald's. Bruce got a tea and I got a water and we went in there and let him run wild. But seeing as how he is such a peculiar boy, he did not like being up in the playplace. He only wanted to play with the stuff that was on the ground. It was so cute though. He kept following all the other little kids that were there and then he would just watch them as they ran up into the playplace. He was having so much fun. We stopped by the park on the way home, but we were only there for a matter of a few minutes and we had to leave because it was so incredibly hot. Little man's poor little cheeks were beet red. Bruce and I watched a movie during naptime and it was an okay movie.

Then when little man got up we went to the pool! Even though it was 95 degrees outside he wanted nothing to do with going into the water. He was happy just standing next to Bruce who was in the pool.

Sunday's are "family" dinner nights for us with Alicia H. and Rob and tonight Shaela, Marcy and Dustin came too! We had some awesome lasagna made by Alicia H. After dinner we all relaxed in the living room. Us girls got talked into playing a round of Modern Warfare 2 and it was so much fun. I am horrible at that game, but I had such a blast losing. After we got home we just relaxed with little man and once he went to bed Bruce wanted to play one or two rounds of Modern Warfare 2 with me and I got murdered! Now I am off to bed.

Daddy and Me day...

Today was so bittersweet. Bruce and little Bruce were having a father son day, so that meant a whole day for me to relax. We got little man dressed up and then we gave him a rub on tattoo that he got in his happy meal from the other day. It was General Grievous from Star Wars! He looked so cute with it! It started off with us dropping our car off at Ford to have a little work done.

Then we came home and they dropped me off and they went to a Daddy and Me thing sponsored by Dads on Duty. While they were gone doing that I made a honey and olive oil mask for my skin and relaxing on the couch. Of course I had to do my workout today, but it wasn't bad at all. When they got home I fed little man his lunch and soaked up all the time that I had with him. Then he went down for his nap and I returned to relaxing on the couch while Bruce played games on Facebook and added music to his iPod. Alicia H. called me and asked if I would run her to the MWR to get our movie tickets for tonight since she lent us her car while ours was being held hostage by Ford all day today. So, I went and got her and we ran down to 32nd St and got our movie tickets.

Once I got back it was time for little man to wake up and get ready to head to the Nimitz on North Island. I got him dressed and played with him as much as I could and then off they went. I cleaned up the house and went upstairs to take a shower and start getting ready for my girls night out. Ford then decided to call and let me know that my car was ready so Rob gave me a ride to pick it up. I had just gotten out of the dang shower so I threw my hair up and got dressed and off we went. I hurried home because I only had about an hour until I had to pick up Alicia H. and Shaela. I hurried up and got ready and went and picked them up. We were going to go to a different Chevy's since we always go to the same one so we drive all the way out to La Mesa and we couldn't find the place. So, Alicia H. calls and the number had been disconnected. It turns out that they had closed that one. Bruce then called me and asked where I was and I told him that we went to the Chevy's in La Mesa and he was sad because he had stopped by our usual Chevy's on the way home from the Nimitz to surprise me. I was crushed. I would have loved to have seen little man and Bruce again. So, we ended up going to the usual Chevy's. We had such an awesome dinner. It was nice to just sit and relax and enjoy a meal with the girls. Then we went to go see Easy A at the mall. Can someone explain to my why people have to sit right next to you when the entire row is empty?! I can't stand that. But the movie was so super awesome! I haven't laughed like that in a while. I came straight home after the movie because I really missed my boys. But I knew little man would already be in bed. I was sad. But at least I got to see the hubby.

I am always thinking about days like this where I don't have to do anything and I can relax. But now that I got one of those days it really made me wish that I could have spent my day making silly faces, changing diapers, playing and laughing with my son. I missed him so much today. Everything made me think of him. I am always complaining to Bruce when he wants to video things on our camera because I like pictures more and I like to use our actual video camera for videos. But he took two videos today of little man. One at the Daddy and Me event and one on the Nimitz. I loved every second of them. He was dancing in the first one having so much fun and he was hugging a little girl and giving her a kiss and walking down the flight deck in the other. It was so awesome to see a little bit of what he experienced today without me.

Well, I am off to bed. I'm wiped.

Killers...

I woke up this morning still feeling under the weather, but I don't think it is as bad as it was yesterday. I came down and made breakfast and put on a pot of coffee. I finally got a call from the childcare licensing office to schedule my walk through. She is coming on October 20th! I am so excited. I still have a few things to do around here to make sure it's all ready, but for the most part we are all done! Alicia H. and Chase came over and hung out until around 1 when she had to go to work. Little man got up and he was so fussy and mad. I didn't know what was going on. I barely got him calmed down. When Bruce came home he freaked again and Bruce noticed that he was chewing on his hands, so we think his back teeth are coming in. Poor little guy. He finally mellowed out a little bit so I started on dinner while they ran to the grocery store for some ice cream and to get our movie for date night. We let little man feed himself his entire dinner and that was the funniest thing I had seen all day. He had a blast with it and it was everywhere! But he ate almost the whole meal.

After dinner they went outside for their "man time" while I cleaned up the kitchen and did the dishes. After all that was done we just spent the rest of the night playing.

We watched "Killers" for date night and it was so awesome! I thought it would be good, but it was really good. I think we may end up buying it one day. But I am off to bed for the night.
