Cupcakes, friends and boats...

Today started off with cupcakes. My friend, Rachelle, asked me if I would make cupcakes for a baby shower so I made some strawberry cupcakes with cream cheese frosting. And then I decided to add a fresh strawberry to the top to make them extra special. I got $30 for doing them so that was awesome! So, if you ever need something baked for a special occasion you know who to call!

Then my friends Marcy and Alicia came by to visit. We devised a plan for a party we are going to throw the weekend after next. While they were here little man decided to pull the gate off of our third stair and bust his head. Poor little guy. They left and I got ready to go see Bruce on the ship. Ugh...I had to swing by the mini NEX on base to get Koolaid and super glue and to my surprise they don't sell either! Ugh! So, I had to break the news to Bruce. But he is having some friends of his from the boat bring him some back.

Little man was so excited to go see his Daddy. He started saying "Daddy" repeatedly as soon as we got on base. It's so cute that he knows who he is going to see when we go to base. He is constantly talking about Bruce when he sees him in a picture or talks to him on the phone. I can't wait for Bruce to be home with us next week. It seems so far away!

They had so much fun together today. They did all kinds of stuff. The looked at the water, walked around, played with all the "sailor" stuff, chased me, ate dinner, etc...It was just a blast. But even though we had such a good time I am happy to say that it is our LAST trip to the ship because of this restriction. YAY! We have so much fun stuff planned for when he is home with us. We only have a little over a month until he deploys and we are going to make the most of it. The first thing on my agenda is getting little man's "Daddy doll" made. I have to get a good picture of Bruce in his NWUs. I'm super excited about that. 

I got to thinking today about starting a Facebook page for doing cookies and cakes for people. I think it is such an awesome way to spend my time and the extra money wouldn't hurt either. I just really enjoy it and I like doing it for others. I've been taking pictures of everything I have been making the past few weeks and I have it all on my personal Facebook and it's gotten excellent reviews. I'm going to think about it a little bit more though.

I finished my day off by watching Yo Gabba Gabba with little man and watching him eat a banana! And speaking of Yo Gabba Gabba, I think he is either going to be DJ Lance or the Situation for Halloween. Not sure yet. But regardless of which one he is he is for sure going to be ADORABLE!
